Our New Christmas Album is here
Sing Winter is the first-ever Christmas album from Jonathan & Melissa Helser and Cageless Birds and features 10 original songs and one Christmas classic re-visited. Each of these songs were written and sung to honor the beauty of winter and the joy of the holidays.
18 Inch Journey Campus Campaign
The mission of the Cageless Birds is to respond to the commission of Jesus and make disciples of all nations. One of the ways we do this is through our 18 Inch Journey discipleship programs focused on spiritual formation. We do all of this at “A Place for the Heart,” our 52-acre campus in North Carolina.
Over the past 10 years, our staff, schools, camps, and retreats have nearly doubled in size. We have launched the 18 Inch Journey Campus Campaign to develop our campus to host more people on our property, provide resources for their deep spiritual formation, and equip our staff to serve a generation in a greater capacity. Click the button below to see what we are dreaming into for our campus and ministry and the goals that have already been completed with your help and support. We invite you to partner with us as we expand our campus and continue to grow the Kingdom of God.
The Land i’m livin’ in
The Land I’m Livin’ In is a new live album from Jonathan and Melissa Helser. It was recorded on the land in North Carolina where they have poured the last two decades into their greatest passion: cultivating community and discipleship. In approaching this album, Jonathan and Melissa wanted to capture the sound of the testimonies they’ve fought for on this land. They decided to fill the room with alumni from their discipleship schools and worship alongside a company of musicians and friends who have journeyed with them for years.
Together, they left space within the music for the band to walk off the map of the written song and into what God was doing in the moment. The outcome was powerful. Captured over three days, The Land I’m Livin’ In is an album filled with the spontaneous, raw and personal moments of adoration that have marked the Helsers’ worship since the beginning. From the passionate surrender of “I am Your Beloved” to the explosive joy found in “I Can’t Get Away” and the confident declaration of “Sound Mind”, this album is an authentic expression of what God has been doing in a community for more than twenty years.
“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Psalm 27:13
